Simply use a comma instead of the conjunction “and” between
two
adjectives.
Using “and” isn’t
a bad idea, but applying a comma makes your writing
eloquent and intelligent.
Incorrect: On my way to the grocery store yesterday, I met a
tattered
and
grievous
man.
Julius Caesar was a
mighty
and
influential
man in his time.
Correct:
On my way
to the grocery store yesterday, I met
a tattered
,
grievous
man.
