1.There are many different kinds of reading. Some people tend to like reading newspapers, others are inclined to read comics. However, I prefer occupying with classical literature putting the emphasis on literature of the 18^th and in particular the 19^th century. Despite it is important to read newspapers in order to inform oneself, I think that there are three reasons which make me think that reading classical literature is more beneficial.Firstly, I hold the view that classical literature will increase cultural knowledge tremendously. This aspect especially refers to history. For example, reading books of the Enlightment Era and in contrast books of the Romantic era will raise the understanding of these two epochs. In fact, the reader does not only get to know more about typical characteristics of these epochs as far as literature is concerned but he will also be capable of getting information about the French Revolution and its influences on both epochs. Having the possibility to extend cultural knowledge is the first reason why – to my mind – reading classical literature is the most interesting type of reading.

The second reason is that I think that reading classical literature is the most diversified type of reading. To define this more exactly, there are dramatic, epical and lyrical works. Thus, depending on the reader’s feeling and on his interests, he is able to decide between novels, tragedies, comedies, poems and many other different kinds of books. For example, in the last year I was very keen on reading dramatic works after having read Lessings “Emilia Galotti” in school; however, as we have analyzed various poems of German poets such as Eichendorff and Brentano later on, I now put the focus on informing myself about poems. Hence, a huge diversification of literary works makes me think that reading classic literature is the most valuable type of reading.

2.Well, to be honest with you, I was never into textbooks at school (just like any other kids). What really excited me was comic books, in particular Japanese anime such as Doremon. You know, I love the vivid illustrationsand the exhilarating storylines.
3.As I said earlier, I like action, horror and comedy movies, but I think comedy films are best because a person gets relaxation while watching these kinds of movies.
