1.To tell the truth, there are not a lot of homeless people in my country.Homelessness is devastating, dangerous and isolating.

The average age of death for people experiencing homelessness is 46 for men and 42 for women.

People sleeping on the street are almost 17 times more likely to have been victims of violence. More than one in three people sleeping rough have been deliberately hit or kicked or experienced some other form of violence whilst homeless.

Homeless people are over nine times more likely to take their own life than the general population.

2.People become homeless for lots of different reasons. There are social causes of homelessness, such as a lack of affordable housing, poverty and unemployment; and life events which push people into homelessness.

People are forced into homelessness when they leave prison, care or the army with no home to go to. Many women experiencing homelessness have escaped a violent or abusive relationship.

Many people become homeless because they can no longer afford the rent.

And for many, life events like a relationship breaking down, losing a job, mental or physical health problems, or substance misuse put people under considerable strain. Being homeless can, in turn, make many of these problems even harder to resolve. However, in nearly all cases homelessness is preventable and in every case it can be ended.

3.People who are experiencing homelessness face many challenges, both emotional and physical, that make it even more difficult for them to get back on their feet. Some of the challenges that those who are experience homelessness are facing include:1.Hunger and nutrition

In a developed country like Canada, it can be tough to recognize hunger as an issue. Yet according to the Ontario Association of Food Banks, in 2014 the number of households in Ontario visiting food banks increased by 20%. Poor nutrition can contribute to a number of chronic conditions over time, and issues like fatigue and weakness in the short term.2.Food and Shelter Insecurity

Those who are experiencing homelessness do not have a place to call home. This can include those people who are spending their nights in homeless shelters, the streets, abandoned buildings, or even on the couch at a friend or family member’s home.3.Income Insecurity

Many people who are experiencing homelessness do have some sort of income. However, their income might come infrequently, adding to the stress of living on the street. This situation also makes it more difficult to save money to find an apartment or home to rent.

4.Healthcare Insecurity

Since many people experiencing homelessness do not have a regular income, healthcare is more difficult to obtain. That means that seeing a doctor, going to a dentist or getting necessary medical treatment is often too expensive. The lack of medical attention that those experiencing homelessness receive adds the potential for increased levels of disease and health complications.5.Basic Need Insecurity

Experiencing homelessness, whether it is on a one-time or chronic basis, can leave basic needs ignored. Warmth, dry clothes, water and food are never guaranteed each day. Without basic human needs being met, those experiencing homelessness might their situation more difficult to overcome.

4.Firstly,it really depends on who the person is.Some roommates are more easy going than others. Some are more mature and respectful. It all depends on how the person relates and how you relate to them. But,I the first thing I should mention is that I can not share my bedroom with others.Because there could easily be arguments and resentment if the room is monopolized by one group or another.
5.We live in three-room flat. Of course, my favourite room in our flat is my own one.
I use my room as a study and a bedroom. It is very nice and cosy. There isn’t much furniture in it, only the most necessary pieces. The built-in furniture doesn’t take much space in the room.
On the left there is my bed and desk. The desk has a lot of drawers where I keep my text-books, notes, pens, pencils and other necessary things. On the right there is a sofa and a built-in wardrobe. In the right corner there is a comfortable arm-chair. Beside it stands a lamp with blue shade. I like to turn on the lamp, sit in the arm-chair and read an interesting book.
There are some shelves with books in my room. You can see Russian and English books there. There is a big thick carpet on the floor. There are some posters with my favourite singers on the wall.
I like my room very much. When my friends come to visit me, I invite them into my room. My room is a nice place for both rest and work.
