General Information 

 

On-line registration is limited for each course.  Please register 

early at www.cotseducation.org. 

 

Continental breakfast is provided on site. Lunch is provided 

for both days of the 2-Day Student Course and day two of the 

Instructor Course only.   

 

Course textbook, directions and syllabus will be mailed follow-

ing  paid registration. Auditors will be provided a “loaner” 

manual that must be returned at the end of the class.  Audi-

tors who fail to return the loaner manual will incur a $75 text 

fee.  Auditors may also purchase their manual.   

 

Fee must be paid in full before course material is mailed to 

student approximately 30 days prior to course. 

 

Students must complete the on-line pre-test prior to  the 

beginning of class.  The ATLS office will email student candi-

dates pre-test instructions approximately 30 days prior to 

course.  

 

The American College of Surgeons ATLS Program complies 

with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Any person 

who needs an accommodation under the ADA should contact

Cancellation Policy 

 

Within 30 days of course start date:  $100 cancellation fee 

subtracted from refund. 

 

Within 10 business days of course start date:   no refund or 

transfer. 

 

Refunds are not provided to students who fail to show for the 

course. 

 

Refunds are not provided to students who fail to achieve a 

passing grade. 

 

Course transfers will be considered when requested 30 days 

prior to course start date.  $100 change fee charged.

The Central Ohio Trauma System’s (COTS) mission is to 

improve patient outcomes by providing the forum where 

independent health care systems and community partners 

can come together to improve trauma and other time criti-

cal diagnoses care within the Central Ohio region.  COTS 

coordinates health care services in times of disasters and 

optimizes the delivery of educational services for its mem-

ber hospitals.
