The net finance result is comprised of interest and dividends received on funds invested, realised and unrealised foreign 
exchange gains and losses on revaluations of foreign currency denominated assets and liabilities, and realised and unrealised 
gains and losses on units held in global equity and bond funds. 
Interest income is recognised in the Consolidated Statement of Comprehensive Income as it accrues taking into account the 
effective yield on the asset.
