The Forest-Plantation Condition Zoning of Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan's soil and climate condition allows many researchers that let them carry out
to divide into districts on various themes here. L.İ.Prilipko (1954) had divided Azerbaijan
into districts due to the forest-plantation condition for the first time and he has approached
the solution of forests in terms of geobotanic and landscape based. We carried out more
progressive districting anew of the forest-plantation condition from point of view forestry in
Azerbaijan.
Here forest-plantation districts and 34 semi-regions are separated within the 5 physico-
geographical provinces. A short description of the each forest-plantation regions is given.
The allocated forest-plantation regions should be considered in general as the guiding
tool of the forestry regulations and forestry and tree surgery.
