Parts 1, 2, and 3 of the Speaking test demand you to summarize. This is a part of
every answer you make to every question. Therefore, you should include words
that signal a summary. They are overall, on the whole, basically, and
fundamentally. To give reasons, you may use in the first place, for one thing, the main reason why, one of the reasons why, and one reason why. When you talk about consequences, expressions like as a result, as a consequence, consequently, so, because of this, and in this/that way are useful.
In part 2 of the Speaking test, there are questions that may require you to narrate
some past events that took place in your life. Therefore, you will need
expressions that indicate parallel time. Examples of these are at the same time, simultaneously, meanwhile, and in the meantime.
