Southern Caucasus Policy of Turkey
Abstract: The article deals with the post cold war policy of Southern Caucasus of Turkey. It is noted that
Turkey helped establish Black Sea Economic Co-operation Organisation for providing regional stability by
means of strengthening of co-operation in several economic and technical fields and on governmental and
non-governmental levels. The state also supported appropriate reforms for economic and political
independence of new sovereign states of Southern Caucasus. The possibility of interference of Turkey
processes in Southern Caucasus by means of military, fail of “Caucasian Stability Pact”, value of regional
projects, position of Turkey in ethnic confrontation, policy in the spheres of trade and economic issues are
discussed.
