TASK 5 – International Labor Migration

Current migration has become a global phenomenon of increasing scale and complexity. Many countries around the world are now places of origin, transit or destination for migrant workers. The dynamics of labor migration can have a major impact on the socio-economic situation of migrants' countries of origin, transit or destination. In the latter, labor migration can help rejuvenate the labor force, ensure the functioning of labour-intensive industries such as agriculture, construction and personal services, stimulate entrepreneurship, support the work of social protection and help meet human resource needs. needs. In turn, countries of origin such as Uzbekistan benefit in the form of remittances that migrants send back to their families, and in the form of investments, technologies and basic skills sourced from returned migrants and compatriot communities abroad.
According to estimates of Turk labor migration in two thousand twenty Uzbek migrant workers accounted for one million seven thousand of Turkey's approximately twenty million international migrants. Such migrants make up eight point five percent of the labor force, which is more than the share of international migrants in Turkey's population. If migrant women have a higher level of employment than women in general seventy percent versus fifty three point eight percent, then for men it is practically independent of immigration status seventy nine percent versus seventy eight point two percent Although migrant workers contribute to the growth and development of their destination and source countries, the migration process creates complex problems in the areas of management, protection of these workers, the interrelationship of migration and development, and international cooperation
Nowadays, most Uzbek migrants prefer to emigrate to countries such as Russia, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Turkey to the UAE and also to Poland. Based on data from the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction of Uzbekistan, there were over four million five thousand migrants abroad at the end of two thousand twenty one, half of them worked in the construction sector fourty nine percent, in the industrial sector elevan percent, as well as ten point four percent in trade and the rest in other areas. In the first place in countries for labor migration is the Russian Federation with one million eight thousand, Turkey with one million seven thousand is second, and South Korea with nine hundred fourty five thousand migrants is third.
Eventually, many citizens of the countries where migrant workers arrive are wondering why they arrive in their country. The answer is very banal there are a lot of countries in the world that are economically weak and cannot provide their citizens with decent wages for their work, it's not even about the economy, but about the rulers who cannot properly allocate the resources of their country, making it unstable for a quiet life, since each country is rich in its own way.Summing up, emigration is good in small quantities in order to gain experience, it is possible to exchange and invest their country, and in large ones it is harmful to both the state and citizens from an economic point of view.
