Example: Some dinosaurs were capable o f bipedal walking. 3 To fossilize (v) - to become or to make something become a fossil (= something
preserved in rock for a very long period).
Example: The birds’ bones are very fragile and tend to break down before they fossilize. 4 Excavation (n) - the act of removing earth that is covering very old objects buried in
the ground in order to discover things about the past.
