Grant Program 

 

Small Grants Program 

A grants round is currently being held, focused on the development in local NGOs of skills in using social marketing.  

Joint projects may be submitted by organizations working on ecological and social issues or on the development of 

civil society.   Application deadline: June 29, 2001 (15:00). 

 

Cooperative Grants Program 



ISAR would like to announce the following changes to its cooperative grants program.  Effective immediately, 

projects from two or more organizations can be submitted for the program.   

-If the project is submitted by two NGOs, the budget should not exceed $500;  

-If it is submitted by 3 or more NGOs, the budget of the first project submitted by these organizations should not 

exceed the amount of $500; in case of successful implementation of the project, this group of NGOs (or this group of 

NGOs plus additional organizations) may submit a second project with a budget of up to $1000.   

As before, joint projects may be submitted by organizations working on ecological and social issues or on the 

development of civil society.   Grant rounds will be held on a monthly basis.  Applications for participation in the 

program are accepted until the second Wednesday of each month. 

 

Travel Grant Program 



This program supports the travel of permanent NGO staff to conferences, seminars, and trainings necessary for the 

development of the organization and for the improvement of professional level of NGO staff.  Grant rounds are held 

each month.  Applications for travel grants are due the second Wednesday of each month. 

 

All grants are given on a competitive basis and are only available to registered NGOs. 



 

For more detailed information, please contact the ISAR-Azerbaijan Grant Program staff. ISAR-Azerbaijan Grant 

Program staff are available to provide regular consultations about application preparation and grant writing.   

 

Grant Program Consultation Schedule: Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 till 13:00, Wednesday and Friday from 



14:00 till 17:00.  Consultations will not be conducted during the last three days before application deadlines.   

 

All local and international NGOs and initiative groups are welcome to contribute articles, suggestions, 



responses, announcements, and pictures to ISAR-Azerbaijan for publication in Third Sector News.  The 


material provided for the bulletin must in some way be related to NGO sector development in Azerbaijan. 

ISAR-Azerbaijan and the US Agency for International Development are not responsible for the content of 

information presented by local NGOs and the mass media. If material from this bulletin is reproduced, 

please cite the ISAR-Azerbaijan Information Bulletin.
