Ernest Miller Hemingway July 21, 1899 - July 2, 1961 - American writer and journalist. Back in World War I, he drove an ambulance of the Red Cross in Italy and was wounded in the leg. All this is reflected in his works; The writer was awarded two of the best prizes in the world of literature - the Pulitzer Prize and the Nobel Prize.
He was awarded the Bronze Star for his bravery while working as a reporter in World War II.
The writer's sister, brother and father committed suicide.
Ernest Heminque once got into an argument that he could write a story of a few words that would affect any reader. He won the controversy by writing a short story, "Children's boots are for sale, not worn." From then on, influential stories of few words began to be written.
E. Heminquey repeatedly faced death, but each time managed to escape. During these accidents, as well as the wounds he received in World War I, his health was adversely affected. Beginning in the mid-1950s, the writer began to suffer from depression and paranoia. It seemed to him that he was being watched everywhere by the staff of the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Although attempts were made to treat the writer with an electric shock, Hemingway lost his memory after 20 sessions. He could not write a word to express his opinion freely. The owner of the great pen saw suicide as a way to get rid of this disease. Although he tried several times, his family and friends prevented him from doing so. After that, Hemingway was sent to a psychological clinic for treatment. But everywhere he looked, FBI agents were visible. After more than two months of treatment, the writer was released.
Seeing his condition worsen, the writer is able to escape the attention of his wife Mary, who is in control of his every move this time. He committed suicide on July 2, 1961.
There are hundreds of writers in history, such as Herodotus, Byron, Homer, Zephaniah, and others. Everyone has their own life story, everyone has their own style of writing. As long as the world exists, these works will live.
