Abstract:
The activities of scientists who made a significant contribution to
the formation and development of Uzbek theoretical linguistics in the period from
the 20s to the 90s of the last century have been studied. Before moving on to the
main issue, scientists, who also made a worthy contribution to the development of
Arabic linguistics, while also having a place in the development of World linguistics
in general, commented on the views of Eastern scholar on linguistics. It is shown
on the example of the analysis of Russian-Turk scientists and their linguistic views,
who conducted scientific research on linguistics in the second half of the 19 and the
early 20 centuries. In the formation of Uzbek theoretical linguistics, their scientific
works are the main resource, it is argued that without these studies it is impossible
to define the next scientific stage of Uzbek linguistics.
