Reactoplasts are not cold-flowing
compared to thermoplastics, but they are
heat-resistant, insoluble in solvents, and swell less.
Depending on the
type of filler, reactoplasts are divided into pressed powder,
fiber, and layer types.
Press powders. These materials are pressed from powders of various
substances (wood, asbestos, quartz) with phenolformaldehyde resin.
Cases and
covers of accessories are made from pressed powders.
Voloknits. Fiber fillers are used in these. Voloknits have high impact
resistance and high dielectric properties.
Laminated plastics - textolite, asbotextolite, getinax, DSP, DVP. As a filler,
textile waste, paper, wood, asbestos sheets are used. Various gear wheels, floating
devices, and anti-friction details are made from laminated plastics.
