For adults, regression therapy can lead to remission of neurotic symptoms
arising from childhood abuse, whether partially or entirely.
As is the case with
PTSD sufferers, the resolution of trauma may include additional self-therapy for
the maintenance of symptom mitigation. This may include the practice of auto-
suggestion and self-hypnosis. Therapies like these can allow the victim to make
peace with the world and live a life free of anxiety, fear and dysfunction.
