3- Some people believe capital punishment must be banned while others 
think in order to protect individuals; criminals committing certain crimes 
must be executed. 
What is your opinion?
Use specific reasons o support your point of view.
Hanging, firing squad, electrocution, gas, and lethal injection are all methods 
of execution used all around the world to punish murderers. And most 
countries around the world have the death penalty as a method of 
punishment. The subject of capital punishment has been under debate for a 
long time. Some believe it is a good way to punish murderers. Others call it 
immoral and unethical. I personally believe that it should be used as a 
punishment by our government. 
I have many facts to support my opinion. Statistics say that over 60% of 
people around the world believe in using the death penalty. That is almost a 
two-to-one ratio. Also, it is legal in almost two-thirds of the countries including 
our own country. Consequently as most nations agree with this method and I
think we should keep it. Furthermore, if a mother can have an abortion, killing 
an unborn child, innocent of any crime, then why can the society not use the 
death penalty to punish murderers who have been tried and convicted of their 
crime?
In addition, the scripture clearly approves of the death penalty by saying that 
"if he strikes him with an iron implement, so that he dies, he is a murderer; the 
murderer shall surely be put to death”. In 1991, a young mother was rendered 
helpless and made to watch as her baby was executed. The mother was then 
mutilated and killed. The killer should not lie in some prison with three meals a 
day, clean sheets, cable TV, family visits and endless appeals. In my opinion 
for justice to prevail, some killers just need to die.
However, we must remember that not every killer is as brutal as the killer in 
the above-mentioned case. There are certainly people who unintentionally kill 
a person, in my opinion the jury before issuing its verdict must consider every 
single aspect and then make a decision. 
In conclusion, I believe a person who dares kill another human being with no 
mercy must be executed.
