NARRATIVE TENSES
As soon as we arrived, the receptionist showed us the meeting room. However, we
noticed that it was too small and so we complained. The Events Manager came and
discussed the matter with us but failed to resolve the issue.
While we were waiting for the police to arrive, we noticed a couple of young men
with a laptop which looked very similar to ours. While we were discussing whether
to approach them, they suddenly ran out of the hotel.
On every single day of that wonderful holiday, the sun was shining. Every time we
walked down to the beach through the woods, the birds were singing. It was like
heaven on Earth!
