The research was held in the Lesser Caucasus to study the bioecological features of some
geophytes plants. The study proved that 25 plant species spread in the foothills, 28 plant species
spread in the lower uplands, 27 plant species spread in the mid – uplands, 30 plant species spread
in the upper- highlands, 24 plant species spread in the sub-alpines , 13 plant species spread in the
alpines. More than 60 species out of the above mentioned plants are in the occupied territories of
Azerbaijan and there is no information on the current state of them. 48 plant species spread in the
north part of the Lesser Caucasus (Tovuz, Shamkir, Gandja, Goranboy, Goygol, Gadabay,
Dashkesen regions) and 37 plant species spread in the plateau of Bozgir. 10 out of htosementioned
species were registered for the first time by us.
