The novelty of the project paper is defined by concrete results of the investigation. The techniques proposed in this paper are thoroughly investigated from the sense of their appropriateness and do ability.
Hypothesis discussed during the practical part uphold that techniques for listening comprehension taught via communicative approach prepares students for real communication, students are not anxious about experiments with language and they are able to respond the context well and, finally, the listening strategies will help learners acquire the heard information and respond appropriately which lead to preparation them to real life communication.
The main aim is to assess the relationship between teaching listening techniques and students’ final communicative performance, focusing on the development of the listening skills.
According to this general aim the following concrete tasks are put forward: 1. To overview the literature on in order to investigate the meaning of listening and then, to analyze the ways of teaching listening comprehension used in teaching English.
2. To analyze the principles of listening comprehension and their reasons in teaching the English Language.
3. To investigate the effective ways of learning and teaching listening comprehension English.
4. To identify the list of the techniques and their effectiveness to the English language learners.
5. To design complete lesson plans implementing pre-, while-, and post-listening activities for the University students.
Research MethodsThis paper presents the development in language teaching area. The following methods are used: the method of comparison, studying and analyzing scientific literature; method of processing and interpretation data, observation of the process of teaching and learning foreign languages at the university on the base of the studies; descriptive method - we investigated and found out and prove the importance, the peculiarities, types and ways of using effective listening techniques in teaching and learning foreign languages.
