AURA ULTILED PRO LONG LIFE (G3)

Aura UltiLED Long Life Family is a high lumen LED light 

source that delivers excellent energy efficiency and high 

quality of light. It is not a retrofit LED tube, but a modern type 

of LED light source for LED luminaires and solutions. Aura 

UltiLED Long Life gives you all the benefits of LED lighting 

today, while ensuring that you can easily upgrade your lighting 

installation as LED technology develops, without replacing the 

entire LED luminaire. Our diffused glass has a unique matted 

surface, making it suitable for applications where minimal 

glare is important. The diffusion gives it a fluorescent look 

while resulting in minimal light loss. Aura UltiLED Long Life is 

easily controlled and dimmed. It offers outstanding thermal 

and electrical design features which makes it an extremely 

reliable product.

Aura UltiLED Pro is developed to provide energy efficient 

high light output, with a reliable thermal and electrical design.

The Pro version is ideal when developing LED luminaires 

for customers who wish to reduce energy and maintenance 

costs. It is intended for lighting in applications where a high 

luminous flux is needed (for example High Bay applications). 

Aura UltiLED Pro Long Life can be used with most standard 

socket holders. As UltiLED Pro is as easy to replace as a regular 

fluorescent tube, customers can easily upgrade to even more 

efficient LED tubes in the future.

AURA ULTILED PRO LONG LIFE (G3)

Overview


Aura UltiLED Pro Long Life is a replaceable LED light source 

developed by Aura Light with a guaranteed lifetime of 58,000 

hours (L80B10) @ 700mA. UltiLED Pro has an integrated heat 

sink and uses an external driver for optimal reliability. 

Applications

Aura UltiLED Pro is developed to provide very energy efficient 

high light output, with a reliable thermal and electrical design. 

Aura UltiLED Pro is ideal when developing LED luminaires 

for customers who wish to reduce energy and maintenance 

costs. It is intended for lighting in applications where a high 

luminous flux is needed (for example High Bay applications).

It is now possible to easily design new LED luminaires 

which offer better energy efficiency levels than an equivalent 

T5 fluorescent luminaire. It is easy to design a new LED 

luminaire around the Aura UltiLED Pro Long Life as the size 

has been chosen to mimic T5 (16 mm) fluorescent tubes. Aura 

UltiLED Pro Long Life can be used with most standard socket 

holders. As UltiLED Pro is as easy to replace as a regular 

fluorescent tube, customers can easily upgrade to even more 

efficient LED tubes in the future without having to change the 

entire luminaire.

LED Drivers

Aura UltiLED Pro Long Life must be used together with 

an external LED driver providing 700mA constant current.

Lifetime


The rated lifetime L80B10 (i.e. 90% of light sources still have 

at least 80% of initial lumen output) for Aura UltiLED Pro 

Long Life is 58,000 hours @ 700 mA (Ta 25°C). This is based on 

ongoing lifetime testing according to LM-80.

Long Life Technology

The 16 mm (T5 size) tube itself is sealed (IP65) which protects 

the LED module from chemical contamination and moisture, 

two of the most common reasons of LED system failure. Inside 

the glass tube is a reliable LED engine designed for extreme 

life and high quality of light throughout the lifetime. 

Aura UltiLED Pro Long Life uses only Nichia LED of the 

highest quality. All system components have undergone a 

one-year stress test and chemical compatibility test to ensure 

reliability and long lifetime. 

Phosphor temperature and LED junction temperature are 

well below the stated maximums to ensure colour stability 

and a long lifetime. The heat sink is glued to the glass tube 

with a thermally conductive adhesive which ensures good 

heat dissipation.

Technical information

Aura UltiLED Pro Long Life provides high efficacy, up to 

153 lm/W and high luminous flux, up to 4900 lumen. The 

quality of light is high with colour rendering of above 80 and 

a chromaticity tolerance of maximum 3 SDCM, thus meeting 

the European norms for office lighting. It is currently available 

in 3000K, 4000K and 5000K. It has been designed with metal 

pins on one end and a plastic fin on the other. 

Long Life Guarantee

The Aura UltiLED Pro Long Life is developed and 

manufactured under strict quality control processes. Aura 

Light guarantees the stated lifetime for Aura UltiLED Pro 

Long Life installations. The installations must comply with the 

specified max temperatures inside luminaire installations and 

be operated with an approved driver.
