Chemical Stability: Stable under normal temperatures and pressures.
Conditions to Avoid: Incompatible materials, contact with water, metals, excess heat,
combustible materials, organic materials, oxidizers, amines, bases.

Warning: It is fairly easy to produce the dangerous anhydrousperchloric acid
from either its salt soritsaqueoussolutionsby heating with high boiling acids and
dehydrating agent such as sulphuric acid and phosphorus pentoxide.
Hazardous Decomposition Products: Oxides of sulphur.
Hazardous Polymerization: Has not been reported.
Reaction Product(s): Hydrogen is generated by the action of the acid on most metals.
