Methodology of teaching Aggoyunlu state in general secondary schools

A number of important changes took place in the history of Azerbaijan in the 15th century. One of them is the coming to power of the Turkic Bayandurlu dynasty in Azerbaijan. It is appropriate to organize the lesson in accordance with the requirements of the modern era so that the geopolitical changes of the time can be easily and conveniently assimilated by the students. The requirements of the modern era mean not only technological innovations, but also modern teaching methods. In the teaching of this topic, the use of the "Problem interpretation method", "Role-playing game", and "Branching" methods can be considered a more effective method in mastering the content of the lesson. One of the important resources in teaching the subject is the use of historical maps of the period. By visually showing the cities, battlefields, and trade routes to the students on the map, we can create ideas about the subject in them. This knowledge helps us to form important concepts in them.The sequence of historical events is staged and historical personalities are revived by means of a role-playing game. Reviving the events, they comment on Uzun Hasan's activities. Students comment on Sara Khatu's negotiations as a political figure, her personal characteristics, and evaluate her activities in Ottoman-Aghgoyunlu relations. Students clarify and analyze the causes and important consequences of Uzun Hasan's struggle with the Ottoman sultan Mehmet II. One of the important issues in the history of Aggoyunlu is the relationship with the Ardabil judiciary. The ability to analyze the regularities of historical processes helps to form a subjective point of view on the causes and consequences of events.
