SLANG
English, as any other language, is constantly changing, and as a result,
new words and slang expressions appear in the language. We've put
together a little memo with the most recent conversational phrases
from the latest movies, TV shows, and songs.

Extra (too much) — a person who does too much.
e.g. — You’re so extra.

Period(t) — a phrase used as an interjection to show a statement
is final, that there is nothing else to be said or debated.
e.g. — I don’t want to talk about it. Periodt!

Yikes — an interjection used to react to something akward and
embarassing.
e.g. — He’s really getting the business... yikes!

(Out)fit — clothes that you put together as a look.
e.g. — Her fit was fire.

Bet — a phrase used to show agreement or approval (like "Okay!").

Cap — a lie. (fake).
e.g. — All you say is cap.
No cap — a phrase which means "no lying".
e.g. — I’m so sorry! I was hit by a bus, no cap.

Flex — show off.
e.g. — He posted his new car on Instagram. He’s trying to flex.

Go off on someone — critisize someone in an angry way.

Stan — (stalker + fan) a person so obsessed with some celebrities
that they stalk them.

(To be) salty — be annoyed.
e.g. — They're just salty!

Mad + adjective — very
e.g. — I’m mad salty. I’m mad tired.

Slay — do something in a really great way; succeed in something.
e.g. — She slayed that fit! You slayed!

Shook — amazed; surprised.
e.g. — This song is incredible. I’m shook!

Simp — a person who is desperate for attention and affection of
someone else.
e.g. — Man, you’re simp.

Thirsty — a person desperate for attention on social networks.
e.g. — She posts so many comments. I think she’s thirsty.

Buzzy — talkative (used both as an adjective and as a noun).
e.g. — She is so buzzy. / This buzzy is my friend.
