watching TV, art, arts, reading books, picnics, other entertainment and activities, as well as a
relatively new form of leisure activities such as volunteering [5.1-2]. It is the second aspect that
becomes the subject of ethnology.
The modern study of the history of youth leisure activities cannot be imagined without an
analysis of the studies of Central Asian scientists. In this regard, within the framework of the
problem-regional approach of modern study, the literature is divided into the following stages.
The first group includes literature, where there are ethno-cultural features of the leisure of
the Uzbek youth of the XX-XXI century.
The second group includes published materials on the leisure activities of the Kazakh youth
of the XX-XXI centuries.
The third group includes materials related to the pastime of the Kyrgyz youth and its
features in the ethno-cultural space of the XX-XXI centuries.
The fourth group includes the leisure of Tajik youth at the beginning of the 21st century.
Among the initial groups of sources containing direct data on leisure forms available to
Uzbek researchers, first of all, it is necessary to name the works of historians Sagindikov J.N.,
Umarov B., Zhabbarov Sh., Nasirova A.M., Gonashvili A.S., Shopulatova A.N., Kasimova N.S.,
Nazarova N.N., Yakubova F.M., Khaknazarova Kh.D.
In the work of Sagindikov J.N. "Improving the forms of leisure and spiritual communication
of rural workers in the conditions of developed socialism" contains rich material on the problem
under study. The thesis uses the results of a specific sociological study of the leisure activities of
1300 young people living in rural areas of Karakalpakstan (Shumanai, Kegeyli and Karauzyak
regions), as well as the Fergana region in the period 1983-1986 [6.1-12].
A great contribution to the study of this topic was made by B. Umarov and Sh. Zhabbarov
with their scientific research "Globalization and education of youth", which describes not only the
problems of preserving national values, educating youth in the period of globalization, but also the
mass culture of the XXI century [7.5-12]. The issues of leisure activities of young people living in
Uzbekistan are covered by a safe analysis in the work of Nasirov A.M. "Pedagogical possibilities of
culture in the conditions of festive leisure" [8.1-10]. In her opinion, the peculiarity of gaming
leisure in the dynamic flow of human life activity allows us to say that it is holiday games that bring
together the creative and spiritual potentials of the individual. And the ability to play and celebrate
is considered as an indicator of the spiritual health of the individual, people, society.
Of interest is the study presented as a comparative analysis by Gonashvili A.S., Shopulatova
A.N., Kasimova N.S., Nazarova N.N., Yakubova F.M., which is valuable because it focuses on the
sociological method and the definition that young people spend their free time more often in sports
than in studies [9.8]. For a more complete ethnological characterization of the issue under
consideration, the work of Khaknazarov H.D. “Life of the youth of uzbekistan” was studied [10. 3-
11]. The work analyzes in detail the culture, its value and the impact of globalization processes on
the Uzbek youth of the XXI century. In addition, the ethnographer in his dissertation considers the
leisure of the youth of the republic. A number of Kazakh scientists have also investigated this
issue. For example, Tanekeyev M., does not separate the leisure of girls and boys from national
types of games that allow you to demonstrate courage, stamina, patriotism, tolerance, dexterity,
ingenuity, composure and other qualities. At the same time, the Kazakh national games: kokpar,
kures, tenge alu, kyz kuu and others are based on the highest principles of justice and morality and,
along with the development of a sports character, are of great educational importance [11.3].
In his article "Games as leisure of modern Kazakhstani youth" [12.141] Tastankulov E. S.
and Daniyarova A. R. show the ways of forming the modern culture of the younger generation,
taking into account the influence of games on spirituality, awareness of the reality of the world and
the virtuality of the gaming space. The study also raises the problem of turning to a person and
