Example: They told the story through the medium o f dance. 2 To occur to smb (phr verb) - (of a thought or idea) to come into someone’s mind.
Example: Didn’t it occur to you to phone the police? Example: It never occurred to her that her parents might be worried. 3 To employ (v) (C1) - to use something for a particular purpose.
Example: Jacobs employs this phrase repeatedly. 4 To soar (v) (C2) - to rise very quickly to a high level.
Example: Temperatures will soar over the weekend, say the weather forecasters. 5 Tremendous (adj) (B2) - very great in amount or level, or extremely good.
Example: They were making a tremendous amount of noise last night. 6 A wealth of smth - a large amount of something good.
Example: Jim has a wealth o f teaching experience. Example: Russia has a wealth o f coal and timber. 7 Fine art - drawings, paintings, and sculptures that are admired for their beauty and
have no practical use.
8 Close-up (n) - a photograph taken from a short distance that gives a very detailed
picture.
Example: She took a stunning close-up o f him. 9 Vantage point - a place that provides a good view.
Example: From our vantage point atop the mountain, we could see the whole city below. 10 To prompt somebody to do smth (C2) - to make someone decide to say or do
something.
Example: What prompted you to say that? Example: I don’t know what prompted him to leave.
