List of actions undertaken by Recovery Team Frankland District TEC Mt Lindesay_Little Lindesay Vegetation Complex Complex burnt October 2009. Majority of burn completed with Karlene Bain (Nature Conservation officer) and Janine Liddelow (Flora Officer) as the primary personnel and according to pre-determined strategic plan. Unburnt/burnt cells mapped post-burn from air and ground. Photo diary of areas of intensity. Dieback assessment transects visited post-burn to record burn intensity.
Post-burn survey of Mt Lindesay TEC plots was begun.
Mt Lindesay-Little Lindesay TEC draft Interim Recovery Plan is under review and near-final. Reedia spathacea _Epodismia gracillimum-Schoenus multiglumis dominated peat paluslopes of the Warren Biogeographical region *See Reedia spathacea summary Southwest Coastal grassland dominated by Austrostipa flavescens, Poa porphyroclados and Desmocladus fascicularis First round of post-burn monitoring of installed plots completed November 2009. Information captured into spreadsheet. PEC Lake Surprise Relictual peat community Vegetation composition mapped. Followed up with Pierre Horowitz to determine specific values of PEC.
2 new populations of Sphagnum found – one not associated with Tingle. DRF Asplenium obtusatum subsp northlandicum Surveyed mainland population Banksia verticillata 3 populations surveyed. 1 new subpopulation found. Pop 15 – all mature, juvenile and seedlings counted and mapped. Seedling survival over summer to be assessed. Pop 6 – surveyed, Pc sample taken (negative result), cones collected to test for seed viability (nearly 100%) Pop 26 – surveyed, Vegetation sample of dying hakea taken – confirmed as canker fungi, Several reference areas representing burnt/unburnt regeneration were selected and collated on. Reedia spathacea _Epodismia gracillimum-Schoenus multiglumis dominated peat paluslopes of the Warren Biogeographical region 3 new records within the Donnelly District (Cate Tauss), which were incorrectly listed as being in the Frankland District. Population on Chesapeake Brook surveyed. At least 8ha of habitat containing Reedia spathacea. 2 records at Mt Chudalup yet to be located and surveyed.
PEC Epiphytic cryptogams of the Karri forests of south west of Western Australia In the process of mapping the occurrences within the Dombakup and Warren forest blocks and scoring the condition of each occurrence.
Black Point PEC Vegetation survey undertaken at Black Point to determine possible unique candidate communities suspected to be associated with the Bunbury Basalt.
Andersonia annelsii Annual monitoring. Overall population is stable. Plants counted in 1mx1m plots have increased at Site 2 but numbers have decreased at Site 3 on lower slope. Seedlings tagged in 2007 and 2008 have produced flowers yet.

1 new population on private property (Great Southern Plantation) yet to be verified with a RFRF. Grevillea acrapogon 2009 monitoring counted and tagged 32 new plants (seedlings with secondary leaves) and 22 seedlings (not tagged but marked). 930 seeds collected and sent to TSSC. Translocation site – 90% survival. Plants look healthy. Chariup block recently burnt off an exclusion track creating a 200m buffer around the site. Plantings to replace dead plants and in-fill to be undertaken end of May. Second potential translocation site has been found on Great Southern Plantation remnant vegetation adjacent to proposed NP
Kennedia glabrata 2 populations surveyed with very low numbers of small plants. Meziella trifida 4 populations monitored and surveyed. 3 new populations recorded. Rhacocarpus rehmannianus var webbianus Nil action
