The people of Azerbaijan are happy that it was led by a wise politician like Heydar Aliyev. These words have been repeatedly uttered by a number of world leaders. This is a fact. As a result of the efforts of this great man, Azerbaijan has achieved irreversible independence, development and progress. He was a genius leader who devoted his entire life to his native people and laid the foundation of national statehood. 

July 14, 1969 is forever engraved in the history of the Azerbaijani people, the Republic of Azerbaijan. That day is the day when Heydar Aliyev came to power for the first time in Azerbaijan. The real development of the Azerbaijani state begins from that day. June 15, 1993 is the Day of Salvation of independent Azerbaijan. If Mr. Heydar Aliyev had not come to Baku from Nakhchivan at the insistence of the people and taken over the leadership of Azerbaijan for the second time, the existence of a state called the Republic of Azerbaijan on the political map of the world today would not be possible.

When Heydar Aliyev returned to Azerbaijan, the country was in a very difficult situation. Later, Mr. President recalls those days: “When I hear that my homeland, my homeland, is collapsing, as a person who has long served the development of this country, I know what we have done here, and it is collapsing, of course, myself. I had to sacrifice and I came, I took responsibility. " 

    The subsequent course of events showed that only Heydar Aliyev could take responsibility for leading Azerbaijan, which was in the grip of a civil war on the one hand and a crisis of political power on the other. This historical responsibility was legally established by the decision of the Milli Majlis dated June 24, 1993 on the transfer of the powers of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Chairman of the Supreme Soviet Heydar Aliyev. This event was of great historical significance for Azerbaijan, which has become a place of sharp social conflicts, living in conditions of civil disobedience, rampant violence and arbitrariness, and facing the threat of losing its independent statehood. During this period, the world's attention was focused on Azerbaijan. Successive heavy political processes, Nationalist separatism shook the statehood of Azerbaijan and threatened its independence and freedom. After experiencing all these difficulties in such a desperate political situation, the nation unequivocally realized that not everyone can be a "leader". He cannot escape these calamities without a worthy leader.

The purposeful policy of Heydar Aliyev, the bearer of ideas and principles that changed the course of history, aimed at ensuring national interests, created conditions for comparing small Azerbaijan with the most powerful countries on the political map of the world in terms of geographical dimensions. The words of Ramiz Mehdiyev, the head of the Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a real state adviser, a full member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, are of special interest. He managed to maintain his mental health and self-confidence. During his thirty-four years at the forefront of politics, he was one of the most prominent politicians of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. He is known all over the world as a great political leader of our time. Mr. Ilham Aliyev, who won the sympathy of the people with all his admirable deeds, protected the national interests of Azerbaijan and achieved the security of our country, is considered a worthy successor of the Great Leader as an irreplaceable leader.

Now he is a confident, serious statesman and is distinguished by his important role and constructive position in that part of Europe. As a young politician and doctoral student, I am so happy that we have a president like Mr. Ilham Aliyev, who is determined, cares for the people, often in contact with people, protects the security of our country, thinks of young people, transforms our country into a modern country and protects democratic values.

Our country is developing day by day, taking its rightful place among the countries of the world. In addition to being a positive result for Azerbaijan at the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest, it once again made us proud to be Azerbaijani. I was studying for a master's degree at the Kharkiv National University in Ukraine that year, and at that moment my heart was filled with pride as an Azerbaijani citizen.

The history of Azerbaijan will be brought closer not only to Europe, but to the whole world. This will allow our country to be recognized in the world not only as a gas and oil country, but also as a country with a rich culture. Our country has adopted the "State Program on Poverty Reduction and Sustainable Development in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2008-2015", as well as in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Budget System" Azerbaijan annually prepares a concept of economic and social development for the next three years. it also helps to determine the direction of development.

 In general, strengthening the country's economic potential, increasing state budget revenues, minimizing dependence on the oil sector, increasing the country's production capacity, developing the agricultural sector, creating many new jobs, strengthening food and environmental security, developing entrepreneurship are proof of Azerbaijan's prosperity.
