The article describes the significance of IT and improving linguocultural competence. The paper also addresses the issue of developing linguocultural competence by means of IT. The author notes that IT could enhance communication by providing a variety of tools such as instant messaging, video conferencing, and social media that allow individuals to communicate across distances and time zones by providing some examples. Furthermore, the paper deals with some peculiarities of IT which will help to provide access to learning resources such as communication software, online dictionaries, and language exchange platforms, which can help individuals to improve their linguocultural competence.
