After taking into account all the circumstances Stewards took no further action other than to notify Kim Moore to ensure she does all she can when in similar circumstances to protect her fellow riders.

Shortly after passing the winning post Koutoufides was checked when tightened for room by Westana (B McCoull) which shifted in when under pressure before being straightened. B McCoull was notified to exercise more care when in similar circumstances.
Ismail Toker rider of Gocarma reported that he accidentally dropped his whip near the 400 metres.
Rasit Yetimova rider of Sir Halliday was reminded of his obligations when using the whip.
Subsequent to the race Kim Moore rider of Helera reported that her mount raced greenly throughout.
Bulent Muhcu rider of Lost My Patience pleaded guilty to a charge under AR 137(a) careless riding the particulars being that approaching the 100 metres he permitted his mount to shift in making contact with Gocarma causing that gelding to become unbalanced. Shortly after this he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of Gocarma resulting in that gelding having to be checked. After taking evidence from the rider and his representative Kevin Ring, Bulent Muhcu’s licence to ride in races was suspended for 1 Tasmanian race meeting commencing at midnight 20 November 2013 and expiring at midnight 27 November 2013. RACE 4 – THE EXAMINER NEWSPAPER 3YO MAIDEN PLATE - 1120 METRES

Subsequent to the race Angela Brakey trainer of Neil’s Gold approached Stewards to express her dissatisfaction with Tyson Buck’s riding of the gelding given that her instructions pre-race were to save Neil’s Gold for one run from the home turn. Tyson Buck confirmed the instructions but did state that he did not fully recollect the specific instruction to improve from the home turn however he did concede that he may have commenced his run too soon but explained that he elected to improve from approaching the 600 metres as he formed the view that the leaders had gone slowly and it was in his best interests to commence to apply pressure. Tyson Buck further added that after he shifted out to improve around Veloce Cavallo, the gelding took him by some surprise and improved quickly into the race resulting in him obtaining the lead far sooner than was his intention. He then added it failed to respond to his riding from the 300 metres.
