Locality abbreviations include: Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), KwaZulu-Natal (KZN), South Africa (SA), North (N), South (S), East (E) and West (W). For non-taxonomists, cf. is short for ‘confer’ meaning ‘compare with’ and is used when taxonomists have a specimen that is close to a species, but not being absolutely confident they indicate via cf. that it might also be another closely related species. Consequently, it is best to regard these as genus level, rather than species level identifications.
