The line graph compares four different sectors in terms of the number of jobs in the economy in the US from 1960 to 2020.

It is clear that, the number of jobs in manufacturing registered a considerably growth during the given period. Despite a steady rise in the level of occupations in retail and healthcare sectors, there was a gradual fall in the quantity of jobs in the agriculture sector between 1960 and 2020.


The index for occupations in the manufacturing saw a minimal decrease from 15 millions to well over 10 millions during the 6 decades, reaching a high of 20 millions in 1980. During the this time, the figure for jobs in retail sector increased gradually from nearly 5 millions in 1960 to 15 millions in 2000, the same figure then went up slightly from 15 millions to just over 15 millions during the last given period.


When it comes to healthcare, the rates of jobs in that sector experienced a significant increase from well under 5 millions to some 15 millions between 1960 and 2020.The number of jobs in healthcare and retail sectors went up respectively over the given period and the very figures reached a peak at just over 15 millions in 2020. Meanwhile, there was a slight reduction with a stability at well under 5 between 1980 and 2000 in the


quantity of jobs in agriculture from a high of about 5 millions to well under 5 millions from the beginning to the end of the period.
