1.2 Illegal verbs
Wrong verbs - verbs that are not formed according to the basic rules of formation of language forms - are simple past tense (Past Simple) and past tense (Part II). There are several ways to create illegal verbs:

  1. ablaut, changing the root of the word (swim - swim - swim);

  2. suffixes different from the generally accepted ones in grammar (do - did - done);

  3. constant (same as three times) shape (cut - cut - cut).

Because of the uniqueness of each of the illegal verb forms, all of them need to be kept in mind. To date, there are 218 irregular verbs in the English dictionary, of which 195 are very common and used. In recent times there has been a tendency to move away from irregular verb forms by replacing them with completed forms, as is the case with ordinary verbs.
The illegitimate verbs themselves come into the modern language from Old English, once used by the Saxons and English (British tribes). Their origin was associated with strong verbs, each of which had its own conjugation. However, as is the case with the verb sneak (sneak), which is used today in the form sneaked and snuck, there are cases in which regular verbs are converted to irregular verbs. Therefore, even native speakers often face situations where they have to misuse their illiteracy and verb forms.
The main forms of irregular verbs to be memorized can be found in the table of irregular verb forms (Table 2):

End Addition Rules
In the modern English Continuous, the addition of a verb ending in -ing is used to create the fourth form of the verbs used in sentence formation or gerund formation. For example, «I'm reading at 5 tomorrow. - I'm reading at 5 tomorrow.»
However, the ending -ing can be added to a word in the standard form, i.e. without changing the main root and the ending of the infinitive, for example, reading - reading, leaving the final ending -e (write - write) , can add the last consonant of a syllable, before which comes only the sit-sit vowel. Also, if the last syllable is stressed and there is no diphthong, the last consonant -r can be added (preferred). With a multi-syllable infinitive, if the stress in a word falls on the vowel before it, the last consonant doubles (equip). In British English, the last -l is doubled if it is preceded by a short vowel (travel - travel), but in American English it is only if the last syllable of the word is emphasized, i.e. travel - It will be possible to travel. Finally, when the infinitive ends with the letter -y, the word simply ends in -ing (carry - lift), with the exception of 3 exceptional words - die - die, lie - lie and binding - binding.
