U zbekistan is situated in the central part o f C entral A sia. U zbekistan is 
the centre o f industry, culture and science. U zbekistan has num erous industrial 
enterprises produce various goods for the national econom y. T here are num erous 
factories and plants 
in our republic. T hey produce various goods for 
our 
country and for m any other countries. A t the present tim e there are tw o m ain 
branches o f agriculture they are: crop grow ing and cattle breeding. T he aim
o f o u r republics agrarian policy is to m ake 
agriculture a highly productive 
branch o f the national econom y. T hat is w hy great attention is paid to the 
identification o f agricultural production. It is m ainly based on the all — round 
know ledge o f clim ate, soils and the application. T he level o f m echanization in 
agriculture is raised from year to y ear now . T he collective and state farm s o f
the republic are receiving a large num ber o f new m achines and m eans o f
transport. T he high level o f
m echanization in agriculture w ill transform the 
conditions o f life and labours o f people. T he republic o f U zbekistan is rich in 
various m ineral resources. M any m ineral deposits m ore than a hundred types 
o f m inerals w ere discovered in the republic. T he stock o f copper, silver, gold, 
lead, zinc, tungsten, natural gas and som e o th er resources m akes U zbekistan 
leader o f th e w orld. U zbekistan has a lot o f plants and factories in various 
cities. T h eir production is very im portant, but their sm oke is harm ful to 
peo p le’s health and pollutes the air. People need clean w ater to drink and to 
grow the food they eat. They need clean land w ithout chem icals and fresh so 
that their food will be safe to eat. T hat is w hy w e m ust fight against pollution 
o f our rivers, lakes and seas. W e m ust preserve our forests and our rare 
anim als. W e m ust preserve them for future generations.
