live in U zbekistan. U zbekistan is situated in central part o f C entral A sia. The 
republic o f U zbekistan occupies the territory o f 447.4 thousand square kilom eters. 
T here are tw o large rivers in our republic: T he Syr-D arya and the A m u-D arya rivers. 
U zbekistan

K azakhistan, 
K irghizistan, 
T urkm enistan 
and 
A fghanistan. The adm inistrative structure o f the republic o f U zbekistan consists o f 
the republic o f K arakalpakstan, 12 province, 162 districts and 118 tow ns.
T he population o f U zbekistan is about 28 m illion people. U zbekistan is 
m ultinational republic.

U zb ek istan . T h e capital o f U zbekistan is T ashkent.
T o d ay U zbekistan is an ad v an ced rep u b lic w ith industry, h ig h er m ech a n ized
ag ricu ltu re an d a w ell d ev elo p e d culture. T h ere are large d ep o sits o f gas, o il, coal, 
copper, g o ld an d o th er m inerals in the republic. W e have m any big en terp rises o f
chem ical, electrical, textile, food and o th er industries. T he national prid e o f th e 
rep u b lic is cotton. G reat p rogress w as archived by the U zbek people in th eir cultural 
d evelopm ent. T h ere are m any H igher E ducational Institutions, thousands o f libraries, 
cinem as, th eatres, radio and T V stations there. B eing a sovereign republic U zbekistan 
has g o t it’s State E m blem , it 's N ational A nthem and flag.
