Old tea trials, Eucalyptus, Camphor, Pinus, Melaleuca, Casuarina, Cupressus macrocarpa, Cinnamonum camphora, Syncarpia glomulifera, Rhodoleia championi, Michelia nilagirica, Rhododendron zeylandicum, Streptosolen jamesonii, Santolina chamaecyparissus. There is a bulb garden which includes Lilium, Zephyranthes, Watsonia, Amarylis and Agapanthus. Palms including Phoenix canariensis and Chamaerops humilis. Roses, ferns, fuchsias.

Delonix regia, Lagerstroemia speciosa, Cassia fistula, C. nodosa, C. grandis, C. moschata, C. spectabilis, Tabebuia pentaphylla, T. serratifolia, T. spectabilis, T. guayacan, Mesua nagassarium, Peltophorum inerme, Spathodea campanulata, Brownea grandiceps, Bauhinia blakeana, Ficus benjamina, Fragraea fragrans, Araucaria cooii, Agathis robusta, Myrstica fragrans, Cinnamomum zeylandicum, Syzygium aromaticum, Pimenta dioica, P. racemosa, Eletteria cardamomum, Mondora myrstica, Piper nigrum. An indoor collection includes Anthurium spp., cacti and succulents. There is an extensive orchid collection including Coelogyne meyeriana, Grammatophyllum speciosum and Peristeria elata. There is a fern house, water lily collection and a collection of tropical vines. A palm collection including Lodoicea maldivica, Oncosperma tigllaria and Corypha umbraculifera. There is an arboretum containing 10,000 trees and a selection of material from the tropical rainforest (Sinharaja). Medicinal plants of Sri Lanka (c.300 spp.), a systematic garden with 500 spp. Cycads and conifers.
