International Journal of Formal Education Physics occupies one of the leading places in the system of formation of philosophical and natural
scientific ideas about the world, it serves as the foundation for all natural and technical sciences and
is the natural scientific basis of the worldview.
One of the most important tasks of teaching in physics is the formation of students' ideas about the
modern physical picture of the world. The formation of ideas about the modern scientific picture of
the world is possible only on an interdisciplinary basis, since each subject contributes to the solution
of this problem [6].
To test the effectiveness of the educational process with interdisciplinary relation, an experimental
work was carried out, where the basis of our study was the Karakalpak Institute of Agriculture and
Agrotechnologies.
The effectiveness of the educational process was determined by the method of questioning. The main
advantage of the questionnaire method is the ability to quickly obtain the necessary information from
a large number of respondents. Questioning is a method of mass collection of material when
respondents give written answers to questions. An open questionnaire contains questions without
accompanying ready-made answers.
The survey was conducted among 1st year students of the specialty 810000-Agriculture and
60810900-Agronomy of the Karakalpak Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnologies. 48 students
took part in the survey.
To identify the level of students' motivation to study physics, a survey was conducted with the
following questions: "Do you think that physics is an interesting academic subject?" and also, “How
much is physics needed to solve professional problems?”.
An analysis of the results showed that 57.1% of the respondents understand that physics needs to be
studied, although they consider it not very interesting; 28.6% of respondents are sure that physics is a
very interesting subject and they are happy to study it, but solving problems causes difficulties;
14.3% of respondents do not like this subject at all, they do not study the material, because they do
not understand it. To the question “How much is physics needed to solve professional problems?” all
students noted the need to know the basics of physics for further activities in this area.
Observations have shown that the allotted number of hours in physics and the traditional method of
conducting classes for bachelor students in the direction 810000-agriculture does not sufficiently
form a holistic view of physics. They have insufficiently formed or lack the ability to establish
interdisciplinary links between physics and disciplines of the professional cycle, students are not able
to master the program material, which ultimately causes them a lack of interest in physics, does not
contribute to the development of systemic thinking and is reflected in the future in the study of
disciplines of professional cycle.
