1.1. Life and work of Otkir Hashimov People's writer of Uzbekistan O'tkir Hashimov was born on August 5, 1941 in the Dombirabad district of Tashkent, and his childhood was spent during the hardships and hardships of the war. Because of this, even though he graduated from high school with excellent grades, he had to work and study due to family circumstances. While studying at the correspondence department of the Faculty of Journalism of Tashkent State University, he worked in various newspapers such as "Temiryolchi", "Tashkent Haqikatii", "Kyzil Uzbekiston". In 1966-1982, he was the head of the department in "Tashkent Akshomi" newspaper, in 1982-1985 G. He has been working as a deputy editor-in-chief in the publishing house named after Ghulam, and since 1985, he has been working as an editor-in-chief of the "Sharq tyzni" magazine. He also worked as a deputy of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the chairman of the Press and Information Committee. O'tkir Hashimov's career began with journalism, and his first book was published in 1962 under the name "Steel Rider". His first story was published in 1963 under the name "Four Letters". Later, the short story "Desert Air" (1963) was created based on this story. The letter received from teacher Abdulla Qahhar about this story inspired and encouraged the young writer. After that, his short stories "Odamlar nya derkin" and "The Wind Blows" were released. In particular, the author's short stories such as "Spring does not return" (1970), "Listen to your heart" (1973) brought fame to the writer. In 1976, the author of these works received the Republic Youth Award. In the novel "There is light, there is shade" (1976), the writer raised the important spiritual and moral issues of the time while revealing the nature of stagnation and vices in the social life of the society. After that, he created another beautiful work - the short story "Works of the World" (1982), which was awarded the Oybek Prize of the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan, and continued the debate about spirituality. The novel "Between Two Doors" was of special importance in O'tkir Hashimov's work. In it, the writer skilfully summarized the historical fate of his people, covering a period of almost forty years, and using the example of a series of complex and complicated destinies. O' because of that. In 1986, Hoshimov's novel was awarded the State Prize of the Republic named after Hamza. Otkir Hashimov was also prolific in the narrative genre. In particular, his works such as "Love", "A Farmer's Day", "The Last Victim of War", "Uzbek Work" made a significant contribution to the development of Uzbek storytelling. His articles such as "The white notebook of the heart", "Those who broke the holy oath", "What do we say to the descendants", "Where is the logic?", "The secret of the state" have become one of the achievements of Uzbek journalism in recent years. O'tkir Hoshimov was not only a skilled storyteller, short story writer, novelist and publicist, but also influenced the development of modern literature as a playwright. His dramas and comedies "Hazon's Spring", "Happy Weddings", "Medicine of Conscience", "Human Loyalty", "Repression" took a worthy place on the stages of the Republican theaters. The book "Inscriptions on the edge of the notebook" (2001) left a certain mark on social and spiritual life. As a translator, O'tkir Hashimov translated the works of O. Bergholtz, S. Sveig, Mustay Karim, V. Shukshin into Uzbek. His best works have been translated into Russian and other languages. The total number of published works of the writer is more than fifty, and their total circulation is more than two million. Oh. Hoshimov was awarded the honorary title of "People's Writer of Uzbekistan" in 1991 for his creative work. He was awarded with the orders "Labour Fame" (1996), "For Great Services" (2001). He died on May 24, 2013 in Tashkent.
