Types of jobs/companies:

  • Residential home builders and renovations: They own/project management the entire home build or renovation with a combination of their own employees and sub contractors

  • Commercial property and renovations: Same as above

  • Specialty trade construction companies: May focus on one specific part of home building: laying the foundation, the plumbing, electrical, etc. They get hired out to come on a job site, perform their assigned duty and then move on to the next job


Typical types of workers

  • Onsite construction workers: Typically spend an entire day/weeks/months on the job site

  • Specialty trade workers: May visit multiple sites in a day to perform a specific task
