Every year, the number of crimes shows an upward trend. Firstly, the primary reason why this is happening will be examined, and secondly, the best way to prevent this dilemma will be provided.
The reasons behind the increased crime rate are unemployment and poverty which force people to engage in illegal activities. Nowadays, finding a job is a difficult process. There are extraordinary job requirements for applicants and some parts of the juveniles can’t qualify for these expectations. As a result, in a large mass of unemployed juveniles and they have to survive somehow. That's why they see the only way is to commit theft and crime. For instance, in Pakistan, in 2004, the government made a university degree diploma mandatory for every government job. Therefore, young generations could not find jobs straightforwardly and crime rates had increased 48 to 72 dramatically in a month.
The most realistic solution to prevent this issue can be found and applied by the government. For this, they should cooperate with local and foreign companies and allocate money for the opening of new workplaces. They should regulate the rate of price increase in the country and thereby create conditions for people to support themselves with the wages they receive. To cite an example, after World War 2 Germany faced poverty and lots of crime was recorded. Against these problems, they constructed new factories, and new job opportunities were created. All these right decisions have led them to where they are today.
In conclusion, although the an increase in the number of crimes due to unemployment and poverty has become a global problem, it can be solved by joint cooperation with local or foreign companies at the state level and regulation of price increases.
