It is better for children if the whole family including aunts, uncles and grandparents are involved in a child’s upbringing, rather than just their parents.
To what extend do you agree or disagree?
In many cultures, it is common for extended family members, such as aunts, uncles, and grandparents, to be involved in a child’s upbringing. While some individuals believe that it is better for a child to be raised solely by their parents, others argue that the involvement of extended family members leads to a more supportive and nurturing environment. In this essay, I will argue that involving the whole family, including aunts, uncles, and grandparents, in a child’s upbringing can be beneficial in many ways
To begin with, the involvement of extended family members can provide children with a strong sense of community and belonging. When a child is surrounded by family members who care for them, they are likely to feel more valued, loved, and supported. In addition, having multiple caregivers can help to spread the workload and ensure that the child is always taken care of, even when one parent is unavailable. Furthermore, extended family members can provide important role models and mentors for children. Grandparents, for example, often have a wealth of life experience and can provide guidance and wisdom to younger generations. Aunts and uncles, on the other hand, may be more relatable to children due to their closer age and can serve as a sounding board for their thoughts and ideas. By providing different perspectives and experiences, extended family members can help children to develop their own sense of identity and values. Finally, involving the whole family in a child’s upbringing can lead to stronger connections and relationships within the family itself. When family members work together to raise a child, they develop a shared purpose and bond that can endure for a lifetime. This can be particularly beneficial for children as they grow older and seek to establish their own families and relationships.
In conclusion, while some people may argue that a child’s upbringing is best left to their parents alone, I believe that involving the whole family, including aunts, uncles, and grandparents, can be incredibly valuable. By providing a supportive community, serving as role models and mentors, and contributing to stronger familial connections, extended family members can play an important role in a child’s upbringing.
