ALL-TIME FCS/I-AA CHAMPIONS
The 1979 Eastern Kentucky Colonels squad captured the 1979 I-AA Cham-
pionship with a 30-7 victory over Lehigh. The title game was only the
second under the I-AA banner, which began in 1978. The Colonels would
win another national championship in 1982, once again under legendary
coach Roy Kidd.
