1. General conditions
The Au Pair will live with the host family for a period of months,
starting from
(within the permitted maximum/minimum period) under the conditions laid down
hereinafter. During this period, the Au Pair shall be given the opportunity to improve her/his
education, in particular with regard to the Host Country’s language by
attending language
classes, and to increase her/his general cultural development.
Both parties, the Host Family and Au Pair, ensure that they have conducted at least 3 video
calls and that they have asked each other the recommended questions before the Au Pair stay.

2. Host Family’s Rights and Duties
2.1
The Host Family is committed to welcome the Au Pair into the family and to let her/him
share the daily family life; in
this regard, the Host Family makes the following declaration of
which the Au Pair takes note:
a) that the Host Family consists of members, including
adults and children:

2.2
The Host Family provides board and lodging for the Au Pair and places at her/his disposal
a separate suitable, lockable room with daylight and of at least eight square meters. The Au
Pair participates in the meals and receives the same food
as the family, if parties don’t agree
differently.
2.3
In addition, the Host Family pays the Au Pair pocket money amounting to
monthly. This pocket money can be paid either on a weekly/monthly basis

2.4
The Au Pair should not work for more than hours per week. Her/his
working hours should be regulated so that the Au Pair has the opportunity to
take part in
lectures to improve her/his language skills and to participate in cultural activities. The costs of
the language classes will be paid for by the Host Family/the Au Pair
(delete as applicable).
The
costs of the journey to the language classes will be paid for by the Host Family/the Au Pair
(delete as applicable).
2.5
The Au Pair is entitled to have free day (s) per week. Among the monthly free
days is at least one full free weekend. The Host Family allows the free performance of faith
during the common times (e.g.
church visit, etc.).
2.6
The Au Pair receives for every full month 2 days holiday. Taking part in the family's
holiday is only recognised as holiday if the Au Pair does minor jobs. During the holidays, the
pocket money continues to be paid.
2.7
The Host Family does not pay the Au Pair's travel costs to and from the Host Family's
residence. The Host Family will however collect the Au Pair from the nearest international
terminal (airport, railway or coach station) to take him/her to the family's residence, or
provide and pay for a taxi.

2.8
The Host Family undertakes to register the Au Pair to the social security scheme which
covers the following benefits (that shall cover disease, hospital care, medical care,
pharmaceutical expenses, pregnancy and birth):

The Host Family shall provide a private insurance, guaranteeing the Au Pair the following
benefits
The premium amounts to per month. The whole/half
of the premium.

shall be paid by the Host Family.
2.9
If
the Au Pair falls ill, the Host Family shall continue to provide board and lodging and
gives all appropriate care until other solutions are found.
2.10
The Au Pair will research and comply with all immigration formalities required by the
Host Country. Within their capabilities, the Host Family will help the Au Pair with the
registration formalities.
