Uchtut, Ijont and Vaush monuments. Karatov's workshops are located around silicon and siliceous deposits in the southern foothills of Karatov, part of the Nurata Range. The Uchtut workshop is located at the foot of Mount Vaush, and the Vaush and Ijont workshops are located on the southern slopes of Mount Kalavash-Kyzyl, one of the Karatov ridges, about 8 km east of the Uchtut monument and about 6 km from the Vaush Muste site.
Uchtut, Ijont and Vaush archeological monuments by archeologists M.Kasimov, T.Mirsoatov, N.Tashkenbaev of the Institute of History and Archeology of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan (led by YA Gulomov) 1957-1961,1963-1964, researched in 1966-1967.

The workshop is so named because the first silicon find was made in the village of Uchtut. The Paleolithic workshop covers a wide area in the southern foothills of the Vaush Mountains, from Uchtut to Chakmoktepa, 3 km long and 200 m wide. There are also Neolithic mines in one of the foothills, from which raw materials have been mined. In this connection, both the open-pit workshop and the silicon mines of the Paleolithic period are called Uchtut. The stoneware was collected from the foothills, hills and hillsides, around the modern Tosh-Koton quarry, and from ditches and trenches. The collection consists of a total of 93,847 items, including stone objects, bones of various animals and deer antlers.
