ADMITTED STUDENTS WITH A NON-ITALIAN UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE
Once admitted, EU and non-EU citizens with a non-Italian degree will have to contact the Italian Embassy 
or Consulate in the country where their degree was issued (or where the University systems refers), to 
obtain some documents. Please check these links for the details on the documents you need to

When enrolling, you have to upload the documents related to your foreign qualification on Studenti 
Online, by clicking on "Call for applications" and then "Matriculation for the 2023/24 academic year - 
document upload for international students with foreign qualifications". 
When you arrive at the University of Bologna, you have to book an appointment with the International 
Student Administration Office in order to show the original copies of your documentation (see contacts 
at the bottom of this page

NON-EU STUDENTS RESIDENT ABROAD 
Non-EU citizens resident outside of Italy are required to start the pre-enrolment procedures and apply for 
a visa for study purposes (NB. this does not apply to EU and EU-assimilated citizens). For all the

Important! Students are admitted to enrolment conditionally to the legal validity of their first degree, 
which is officially declared by the Italian Authorities in the country where it was awarded, and on the 
possession of a valid study visa. Therefore, enrolment is subject to the full compliance of the above 
procedure. Prior to the enrolment, the original documents will be checked by the Student Administration 
Office.
