INTRODUCTION


Actuality of the theme. In our country, every year several areas of science are selected and developed with special attention. This year, physics and foreign languages have been identified as such priority areas. - The time has come to establish a new system for teaching foreign languages in our country, which will be a solid foundation for the future. Since we have set ourselves the goal of building a competitive country, from now on school, high school, college and university graduates must know at least 2 foreign languages perfectly. This strict requirement should become the main criterion for the activity of the head of every educational institution,1 - said Shavkat Mirziyoev.
In the years of independence, more than 51,700 foreign language teachers graduated from higher educational institutions, English, German, French multimedia textbooks and textbooks for grades 5-9 of secondary schools, for learning English in primary grades electronic resources were created, more than 5000 secondary schools, vocational colleges and academic lyceums were provided with language laboratories. However, the analysis of the current system of organizing language learning shows that educational standards, educational programs and textbooks do not fully meet today's requirements, especially in advanced education and the use of mass media. technologies. Education is mainly conducted in traditional ways. further development of the continuity of learning foreign languages at all stages of education; it is necessary to improve the qualifications of teachers, to provide them with modern educational and methodological materials. According to the decision, starting from the 2013/2014 school year, foreign languages, mainly English, will be gradually taught in schools from the first grade through lessons and speech games, the alphabet, reading and spelling. It was determined that it will be taught in the form of continuing education.
English literature is one of the important components of world literature. Its representatives contributed to literature with their works. The topic of the course work is devoted to the literary work of the famous English sonnet writer V. Shakespeare and his sonnets. Shakespeare's sonnets are a very effective tool for learning the history of English literature as well as a foreign language. In addition, it plays an important role in educating the young generation. The relevance of the course work lies in the study of the literary legacy of the famous Renaissance poet, his sonnets and his contribution to English and especially world literature.
