Conclusion
Many lessons were learned from the project, which indicated huge potential achievements when working with communities and stakeholders who are com- mitted to improving their environment. The project also has the potential of being cascaded not only to other watersheds within the Brantas River Basin but also to other river basins in the different parts of the Indonesian archipelago.
Currently ESCAP is not able to support the additional requests of the villagers from Bendosari as the initial eco-efficient project has been completed. If there are any interested donors, this is a project that should be supported as the villagers themselves are so committed and willing to provide their own labour.
