Diagnosis of acute disorders of mesenteric circulation is based primarily on the clinical picture of disease and personal history. The disease usually affects the elderly and senile patients suffering from various diseases of the cardiovascular system, chronic pneumonia, malignant neoplasms. It occurs sometimes in conjunction with paralytic ileus and can simulate acute abdominal disease (acute appendicitis, acute pancreatitis, IPOs). When the branches of mesenteric vessels thromboembolism may develop acuteulcers with perforation of the intestinal wall and intestinal bleeding.
