Abstract
Over the past two decades, an exploding number of new technologies and applications has been introduced into medical field, opening up amazing possibilities for diagnosis and therapy, but also raising questions of appropriateness, safety and effectiveness. Electronic and Biomedical engineers are on the core of these technological improvements and play an essential role in research and development activities in the area. The importance of the role of electronic and biomedical engineering in recent technological advancements is directly reflected in the education. Today, a number of universities and institutions offer opportunities for education in the field.
An example of the relationship between engineering and medicine faculties is the relationship between Gazi University Engineering and Architecture Faculty Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department and Medicine Faculty. For this purpose, it is decided to the establishment of Biomedical Engineering Center in the Medicine Faculty. Students of two faculties will be able to make researches on the new projects in this center which includes research and calibration laboratories.
