folklor anʼanalarini rivojlantirishga bagʻishlangan. O‘zbek adabiyoti tarixidagi
shoirlardan biri bo‘lgan Nishotiy doston janrining rivojlanishiga katta hissa
qo‘shgan. Uning “Husn va Dil” doston asari Sharq adabiyotidagi eng mashhur
afsonalardan biri asosida yaratilgan. Ushbu adabiy asar syujetida arab, fors-tojik,
turk va urdu tillarida yozilgan ko‘plab xalq og‘zaki ijodiga xos bo‘lgan voqealar aks
ettirilgan. Tahlil natijasi shuni ko‘rsatadiki, “Husn va Dil”da xalq og‘zaki ijodidan
olingan umumiy xususiyatlar ko‘p, jumladan, rivoyatning ma’lum boshlanmasi,
podshohning qahramon sifatlari, bola orzusi, qahramon va uning dushmanlarining
sehrli kuchlari, motiv, sarguzashtlar va to‘y marosimi bilan bog‘liq jarayonlar.
Umuman, bu xususiyatlarni o‘zbek rivoyatlari, ertaklari va adabiy asarlarida ko‘p
uchratish mumkin. Ushbu tadqiqotlarda mana shu masalallarga e’tibor qaratilgan.

Abstract . The article is devoted to the development of folklore traditions in
epic literary work “Husn and Dil” by Nishati. Being one of the poets in the history
of Uzbek literature, Nishati contributed much to the development of epic genre.
His epic work “Husn and Dil” is based on the one of the most popular legends in
the Eastern literature. The plot of this literary work reflects the events which are
characteristic features of many pieces of folklore, written in Arabic, Persian-Tadjik,
Turkish and Urdu languages. The result of the analysis shows that there are many
common features taken from folklore in the “Husn and Dil”, including standard
beginning of the narration, king as a hero, dream of a child, magic forces of the
hero and his enemies, motif of adventures and wedding ceremony. In general, these
features can be found in many Uzbek legends, fairy tales and literary works.
