Yellow Feather Flower
The Golden Feather Flower is a slow-growing, small shrub to 1 m high by 0.6 m
wide. Plant en masse to create a stunning display. It does well in raised beds,
containers or rockeries.
This Verticordia flowers prolifically with bright yellow flowers covering the plant in
late spring to early summer.
The Golden Feather Flower thrives in all soil types but the site should be free-
draining and in full sun. It is best planted in the autumn and winter months.
Once established it is drought-tolerant but for optimum growth and flowering it is
best watered once a week at the base of the plant. Open mulch will help to

Apply slow-release native blend 8–9 month fertiliser at time of planting and
annually as required in the spring months.
Pests and diseases
This plant can be susceptible to scale and is prone to powdery mildew in the winter
months particularly if not grown in full sun.
After 5 years the plants are best
replaced with new stock.
